PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new protein useful for screening an agonist or an antagonist, etc. SOLUTION: A human-derived protein or its salt, a DNA encoding the protein, a method for determining a ligand to the protein, a method or a kit for screening a compound modifying the connectivity between a ligand and the protein, and a compound obtained by the screening or its salt are provided. The human- derived protein or the DNA encoding the protein can be used for (1) determination of a ligand to the protein, (2) a preventing and/or a treating agent for diseases related to functional failure of the protein, (3) screening of a compound (agonist, antagonist, etc.), modifying the connectivity between the protein and a ligand, and others.
