PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recorder capable of preventing a foreign matter from entering a channel at a setting time, and also reducing costs and a size by simplifying the structure. SOLUTION: There are provided a head body 10 which has nozzles 11 for discharging ink drops and head channels 24 communicating with the nozzles 11, a head holder 32 where holder channels 30 for guiding ink of an ink cartridge 2 to the head channels 24 are formed, and a head substrate 36 for sending discharge signals to be inputted to the head body 10. The head substrate 36 is set between the head holder 32 and the head body 10. A seal member 29 is set to the head substrate 36, which makes the holder channel 30 and the head channel 24 communicate with each other and seals the connecting part. Accordingly, the foreign matter is prevented from invading the channels through the contact at the setting time, the number of parts items is reduced to save on the costs, and the ink-jet recorder is made small.
