PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing the cleaning of a polluted medium more efficiently than before using a plant. SOLUTION: In the method for cleaning the medium polluted with heavy metals, a plant belonging to the genus Chenopodiaceae Chenopodium, Chenopodiaceae Spinacia, Chenopodiaceae Beta or Fabaceae Crotalaria is cultivated on the medium polluted with heavy metals to be allowed to absorb and accumulate heavy metals before harvested.
