BLOOD COLLECTION ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood collection set which can automatically be shielded. SOLUTION: The blood collection set comprises needle assembly having a hub 14 the inner and outer tubes of which are arranged separately. A needle cannula 16 is rigidly connected to the inner tube. A safety shield 20 is movably fitted into a space between the inner tube and the outer tube of the hub 14. A spring moves the shield 20 in the direction of the distal end with respect to the hub 14 between the shield 20 and the hub 14 so as to surround the cannula 16. A retainer retains the shield 20 releasably in a state ready for use at the distal end with respect to the hub 14 and the cannula 16. The retainer can be provided on a fin extending in the horizontal direction from the outer tube of the hub. An actuator releases the retainer to move the shield by the spring. The actuator can fix the posture of a blade spatially in relation to the retainer. A lock prevents the cannula 16 from being exposed again carelessly.
