PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-diabetic ingredient-containing food composition which can safely and easily be taken and has an anti-diabetic action. SOLUTION: This anti-diabetic ingredient-containing food composition obtained by drying and crushing the whole root tuber or skin portion of Ipomoea Batatas sp., and the anti-diabetic ingredient-containing food composition obtained by extracting the whole root tuber or skin portion of the Ipomoea Batatas sp., and exhibiting an insulin secretion-promoting action and a glucose tolerance- improving action are provided.
