PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of automatically discharging chips generated when machining a work by a machine tool by gathering the chips to a prescribed place without scattering to the periphery. SOLUTION: The front side of the work W fixed to a pallet fixing plate 2s of an angle plate 2 is covered with a cover member 5. An opening part 5h is arranged in front of this cover member 5. A chip gathering chamber 6 is arranged on the reverse side of the angle plate 2, and is communicated with the inside of the cover member 5 by a communicating hole r. The chips generated when machining the work by a machining tool 9 of the machine tool 1 are accumulated in the cover member 5 and the chip gathering chamber 6 via the opening part 5h without scattering to the periphery. When finishing machining, the angle plate 2 is moved to a discharge position Y, and the angle plate 2 is reversed by a reversing mechanism 13 so that the inside chips are discharged by opening a discharge door 7 of the chip gathering chamber 6.
