PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sliding-down of an article placed on a top plate when housing the movable top plate in a desk body in a downward inclining state. SOLUTION: The rear part of a movable top plate 9 is provided with an article falling preventive means 39 always energized toward the upper surface side of the movable top plate 9, projecting backward and upward from the rear end when housing the movable top plate 9, moved downward to the movable top plate 9 by a guide means 48 arranged on a fixed top plate 2 when put in a horizontal using state, and entered under the fixed top plate 2.
