PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording paper, in which cracks hardly develop during its manufacturing, variations in manufacturing quality are reduced and which has a high quality porous layer having improved coating uniformity, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This ink jet recording paper is obtained by coating a water-soluble coating liquid, which includes a hydrophilic binder and fine particles in order to form the porous layer and giving an additive-containing solution onto the porous layer after the coated porous layer enters its falling rate drying period. |
