PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for automatically cultivating Japanese horse-radish by which the Japanese horse-radish can be readily cultivated, and appreciated, and the stems, leaves and rhizomes can also be stored and preserved. SOLUTION: The apparatus and the method for automatically cultivating the Japanese horse-radish are characterized in that the Japanese horse-radish is cultivated by sending signals from a timer (1) and from a temperature sensor (4) installed in a Japanese horse-radish-cultivating container (2) to a controller (5), judging whether it is the time required for feeding the liquid or not, or it is the temperature required to be controlled by feeding the liquid or not, by the controller (5) by receiving the signals, and feeding the cultivation liquid at a suitable temperature from a water tank (9) to the cultivation container (2) by operating a liquid-feeding pump (7) or driving a cultivation liquid temperature-controller (8) when it is judged that the feed of the liquid is required. |
