PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood collection set which can automatically be shielded. SOLUTION: This blood collection set 10 contains a hub fixed to a needle cannula 16. A safety shield is nested to the hub 14 and the cannula 16 and is movable from a distal end where the cannula 16 is exposed to a proximal end where the cannula 16 is shielded safety. A spring is provided so that the hub 14 and the cannula 16 may be moved in the direction of a base with respect to the shield between the hub 14 and the shield so that the cannula 16 can be surrounded. A retainer is provided so as to retain the hub 14 and the cannula 16 releasably at a distal end, namely in a state ready for use. An actuator 42 releases the retainer to propel the hub 14 and the cannula 16 by the spring. A lock is provided to prevent the cannula 16 from being exposed again carelessly.
