GENE EXPRESSED AND FLUCTUATED BY PSORIASIS AND ASSAY FOR PSORIASIS BEING PAID ATTENTION TO THE GENE BEHAVIOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new gene relating to psoriasis and an assay for psoriasis being paid attention to the gene behavior. SOLUTION: The objective assay for psoriasis characteristically detects the level of expression of the psoriasis-relating genes (the gene comprising a DNA bearing 4 kinds of specific base sequences or a DNA comprising these sequences and another DNA hybridizing with these sequences under stringent conditions and the expression level in the tissues or cells originating from an organism infected with psoriasis shows a different level of the gene expression compared with the normal organism). The new gene shows a changed level of gene expression in the tissues or cells originating from an organism infected with psoriasis (the gene including a DNA having 2 kinds of specific base sequences or a DNA comprising these sequences and another DNA hybridizing with these sequences under stringent conditions) and the polypeptides encoded by these DNA are disclosed.
