PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift knob wherein an insert and a resin layer are inte grated. SOLUTION: The insert 3 is set in a cavity 1a which is formed in a molding die 1. Then, a fluid resin is injected into the cavity 1a from the lower section of the cavity 1a into a space between the inner peripheral surface of the cavity 1a and the outer peripheral surface of the insert 3. Thus, the inside of the cavity 1a is filled with the resin. Also, this shift knob wherein the insert 3 and the resin layer are integrated in the cavity 1a is molded while discharging air or a gas in the cavity 1a from the internal surface side of a recess 9 which is formed at the upper section of the shift knob. Since the air or the gas in the cavity 1a can be discharged from the internal surface side of the recess 9 formed at the upper section of the shift knob to an overflow, the air or the gas in the cavity 1a can be surely and efficiently discharged. |
