PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing face member which is hard to crack and hardly partially separated at the time of manufacturing, and is manufactured at a low material cost, and has excellent wear resistance and a life prolonged by suppressing separation and partial wear of the surface of the crushing face, to provide a method for manufacturing the member, and to provide a crusher. SOLUTION: Grooves with depths in two stages from the small diameter side to the large diameter side are formed in the side face of a roll mother material 41 of a roll 4 and an underlayer surfacing layer 42 of a high chromium cast iron-based padding material is formed on the entire surface so as to bury the grooves and on the underlayer surfacing layer 42, stripe-like padding layers 43, 43,... are arranged in parallel in the circumferential direction in a number of 116.
