PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stable cutting work by eliminating 'interference' by a warp and a bend of a work, and restraining the occurrence of inconvenience such as the impossibility of sending a material, and length measurement failure. SOLUTION: This cutter is provided with a vice device composed of a reference vice 19 and a movable vice 29 for clamping the work W, and a cutting tool 7 for cutting the work W clamped by this vice device. A reference side rotary body 21 capable of abutting to the work W is arranged on the tip of the reference vice 19 so as to be positioned on a work width reference line. Since the work W is clamped between the reference side rotary body 21 of the reference vice 19 and the movable vice 29, the work W can be easily moved in the material sending direction by the reference side rotary body 21 so that the work can be easily positioned in a cutting position without causing the 'interference'.
