PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the erroneous loading of a ribbon cartridge and that of the ribbon reel to the ribbon cartridge and the poor rotation of a guide roller due to burring from developing. SOLUTION: An erroneous loading preventing member 1 has the same color as that of a transfer ribbon and is integral with the ribbon cartridge and is mounted to the ribbon cartridge being exposed inside and outside. In addition, a pin 18 corresponding to the erroneous loading preventing member 1 is provided on a transfer device. Thus, the kind of a transfer ribbon is easily judged from the erroneous loading preventing member 1, resulting in preventing an erroneous loading from developing. Since the erroneous loading preventing member 1 exposes itself to the interior of a cartridge main body at the reloading of the transfer ribbon, the kind of the transfer ribbon can be confirmed at its loading. Further, since the supporting member of the guide roller is formed so slender as not to come into contact with the position of the burring of the guide roller, no rotation is obstructed even under the case that the guide roller has a burr.
