PURPOSE: A plasma color display screen with a pixel matrix array is provided to achieve improved resolution or improved luminance. CONSTITUTION: A plasma color display screen comprises a carrier plate(2), a transparent front plate(1), a ribbed structure which divides the space(3) between the carrier plate and the front plate into discharge cells filled with a gas, one or more electrode arrays on the front plate and on the carrier plate to generate corona discharges in the discharge cells. The plasma color display screen includes a segmented phosphor layer, a pixel matrix array from which discharge cells for red, green and blue to form a pixel are formed, where each pixel comprises a discharge cell for blue which is common to two adjacent pixels.
