PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a surface-mounted chip type separated common mode choke coil is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost by increasing a coupling coefficient and an allowable current of separated common mode choke coil and simplifying the manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A pair of coils having a cylindrical extrudate is formed. A coil pattern is formed on an outer surface of the cylindrical extrudate. A cuboidal square-shape object(600) is extruded. In the cuboidal square-shape object(600), two holes into which the cylindrical coils are inserted are formed in parallel to a horizontal direction. The cylindrical coils are inserted into the cuboidal square-shape object(600). A terminal connecting unit for electrically connecting the cylindrical coils to an external apparatus is formed. An external electrode is formed on the terminal connecting unit.
