PURPOSE: A multi-gateway device in a packet-based network of an advanced mobile communication system is provided to operate a plurality of I-CSCF(Interrogating-Call State Control Functions) for performing a gateway function of an all-IP network and suitably distribute and process visiting calls inputted from the outside. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of I-CSCFs(110-112) select and assign a corresponding S(Serving)-CSCF which controls a communication service of a terminal when the terminal is registered in a packet-based network, interrogate an HSS(Home Subscriber Server) about an incoming call of the terminal, and detect an address of the corresponding S-CSCF which controls the termination terminal. A plurality of I-CSCFs(110-112) relay an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)-based request message or response message with an S-CSCF located in an other network or its network, and perform a firewall function as to all signaling paths inputted from external networks(300,400). A single NES(Network Entrance Server)(110) performs a routing function between a plurality of I-CSCFs(110-112) and the external networks(300,400), and distributes and routes a message traffic inputted from a random external network to a plurality of I-CSCFs(110-112). |
