PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display panel and a manufacturing method are provided to effectively prevent the electrode from breaking due to the crack by installing the first insulating film between the first electrode and the liquid crystal layer. CONSTITUTION: In a liquid crystal display panel, a liquid crystal layer(4) is interposed between a first resin substrate(2) and a second resin substrate(11). A first electrode(3) and a second electrode(12) are located on the counter surfaces of the first and the second resin substrates respectively, and a first insulating film(8) is located between the first electrode and the liquid crystal layer. The product of the film stress and the film thickness of the first electrode is smaller than the product of the film stress and the film thickness of the second electrode.
