<p>Package consists of a holder formed from film with indentations for receiving articles, opt. a carton of box, and a base plate consisting of relatively stiff material, e.g. cardboard, fibre-board, or plastics, esp. foamed plastics for fixing and retaining the flexible holder. The base plate has bulges extending upwards from its surface to project into cavities formed on the lower side of the holder between adjoining indentations and is specif. of polystyrene. Used for packaging regularly or irregularly shaped articles, such as sweets, chocolates, fruit, and perfume bottles. Articles are not harmed by adhesive during prolonged storage.</p> |
