PURPOSE: An abbreviated dial device for a telephone is provided to input 16 figures or more numbers using one button and input a plurality of telephone numbers by the combinative operation of the first button and the second button. CONSTITUTION: A line control unit(10) has various passive elements and transistors for sharing a telephone(1) and an office line or extension(3). A DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) receiver(20) senses numbers selected in the telephone(1), and outputs the sensed signal as uniform codes so that an MCU(Micro Control Unit)(70) recognizes various numbers designated by a user. A DTMF generator(30) transmits an abbreviated number stored by the user to a line. A non-volatile memory(40) stores various numbers inputted by the user. A matrix key switch(50) has a storing button, a group button, an abbreviated button, a menu button, a movement button, and a selection button to be operated for calling the numbers stored by the user. An LCD unit(60) displays a transmitted number when various numbers operated by the matrix key switch(50) are outputted. The MCU(70) performs the control of LCD unit(60), the hook switch sense of the telephone(1), the control of DTMF, and a user interface according to a programmed firmware, and performs various important functions and additional functions.
