ELECTROLYTE COMPOSITION FOR ELECTROLYSIS OF BRINE AND ELECTROLYSIS METHOD OF BRINE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An electrolyte composition containing platinum compounds for electrolysis of brine and an electrolysis method of brine using the same are provided. CONSTITUTION: The electrolyte composition for electrolysis of brine contains 100 to 2000 ppm of platinum compounds and a balance of pure water, wherein the platinum compounds are selected from the group consisting of H2PtCl6·6H2O, K2PtCl4, Pt(NH3)2(NO)2, Pt(NH3)6Cl4, Pt(NH3)4Cl2, H2Pt(OH)6 and Na2PtCl4·6H2O. The method for preparing the electrolyte composition is characterized in that 0.01 to 0.2 L of aqueous platinum compounds solution is mixed with 1 L of pure water in an anion chamber.
