OPTICAL FIBER GRATING CODER USED FOR OCDMA AND METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FABRICATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An optical fiber grating coder used for OCDMA(Optical Code Division Multiple Access) and a method and an apparatus for fabricating the same are provided to pass selectively incident laser beams and form a codeword having a reflective peak of a desired wavelength by installing an amplitude mask including the desired codeword at a front end of a phase mask. CONSTITUTION: A chirped optical fiber grating coder fabrication apparatus(300) is formed with a light source(301), a concave lens(302), a convex lens(304), an amplitude mask(306), a phase mask(308), a single mode optical fiber(310) for communication. The single mode optical fiber(310) is processed by a hydrogen processing method like an existing method. An optical amplifier(312) and an optical wavelength analyzer(314) are used for measuring optical permeability of a chirped optical fiber grating coder(316). The chirped optical fiber grating coder(316) is formed in the inside of the single mode optical fiber(310). The chirped optical fiber grating coder(316) is fabricated by using the amplitude mask(306) designed for the chirped phase mask(308) and an arbitrary coder.
