PURPOSE: A water level sensor for a water purifier is provided which is capable of controlling water level of purified water inside a storage tank by optically accurately sensing the water level by using refraction of emitted infrared rays. CONSTITUTION: The water level sensor for a water purifier for sensing water level of the purified water stored in the storage tank after raw water containing various harmful substances is purified, the water level sensor for the water purifier comprises an infrared ray emitting part(1) for emitting infrared rays; a receiving part(2) at which emitted infrared rays are arrived by refraction to be received; and a tube(3) that is positioned between the infrared ray emitting part(1) and the receiving part(2), wherein the infrared ray emitting part(1) for emitting infrared rays and the receiving part(2) for receiving infrared rays emitted are correspondingly constructed at both sides of the tube(3), at least two or more of the infrared ray emitting part(1) and the receiving part(2) are formed in multistage, and the tube(3) is not formed in a circular shape, but formed in an angular polygon shape.
