Electric power produced by wind power stations (1) is transformed to a power accumulated in compressed air and the compressed air is stored in a storage tank (5) wherefrom the compressed air is conveyed along with fuel into combustion chambers (9) of a combustion turbine (7), whereby said combustion turbine (7) mechanical energy id transformed to electric power. Methyl or ethyl esters produced from vegetable oils and/or animal fats are employed as the fuel. Heat of the combustion turbine (7) combustion products heats compressed air for the combustion chambers (9).
