PURPOSE: A method for preparing a polythiophene derivative for an electroluminescent device is provided, to improve the electroluminescent quantum efficiency of the polythiophene derivative polymer. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of polymerizing a thiophene derivative monomer with 0-200 vol. times of a solvent and 1-10 mol. times of an oxidation initiator based on the amount of the thiophene derivative monomer to obtain the polythiophene derivative represented by the formula 1, wherein A is an alkyl group of CnH2n(n=0-10), an alkoxy group, an allyl group, an allyloxy group, a cycloalkyl group, am aminoalkyl group, an oxyalkyl group or carbonyl group containing an ether group, an urethane group or an amide group; and B is benzotriazole group, an oxatriazole group, a triazole group, a quinoxazoline group or a triazine group. Preferably the polymerization is carried out at a temperature of 0-50 deg.C. |
