<p>A textile machine has a high-speed open-ended spinning rotor with a rotor brake (8) shaft (2) in a gusset bearing (3) assembly forming part of a disc bearing (4). The pincer-action brake has two arms (9, 10) with exchangeable brake block (16) applied to the rotor shaft (2). Each brake lining is fixed to the respective brake arm by a bolt (14) and profiled clamp-block (17). The clamp block has higher compressive strength than the brake block and is a compound material made of carbon fibre, glass fibre or aramide fibre. The bolt causes the clamp block profile to form a compression detent in the brake block. The brake block has a central slit for the bolt. The bolt hole in the clamp block has a thread corresponding to that of the bolt.</p> |
