A one-way container for the self-heating or -cooling of liquids or solid materials has two chambers separated by an internal foil that are filled with reagents which release an exothermic or endothermic reaction when brought together, a metal vessel and a tear-off foil. The metal vessel is fastened, glued or sealed with an upper component. The upper component (3) is arranged to be rotatable with respect to a lower component (2) by a thread (8) and the foil (7) can be destroyed by this rotary movement. The lower component has one or more cutting edges below the foil. The rotary movement is limited by a catch mechanism.
