A transport and mounting device for fitting a shaft seal

A transport and mounting device 1 to fit a shaft seal 2, in particular a shaft seal with a sealing lip 3 pointing radially inwards, into a camshaft arrangement 4 for an internal combustion engine. To simplify assembly the device is characterised by a first pick-up area 5 for the shaft seal 2, a second pick-up area 6 for a signal transmitter wheel 7 and a feed area 8, 9 for feeding onto the camshaft arrangement 4 during assembly.
