PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float for fishing excellent in waterproofness and capable of securing and keeping initial function and a method for producing the float. SOLUTION: This float provides a weight 4 in the bottom of a float body. The float is equipped with a weight case 5 for housing the weight 4 arranged in the bottom of the float body and the weight case 5 is fixed to the float body. A center pipe 3 is inserted into a threading hole 2 of the float body and the weight case 5 is bonded and fixed to both of a center pipe 3 and the float body. The float has a float body made of wood and the weight case 5 made of a resin. A hollow part 6 is provided around the center pipe 3 and the weight case 5 is fitted into the hollow part 6 and is bonded and fixed to the hollow part 6.
