PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling an ink jet printer for textile printing which eliminates a moire and which maintains the density of a color on a cloth which has much ink absorption amount such as, for example, a towel, a moquette or the like, and a method for printing the ink jet printer for textile printing. SOLUTION: The method for controlling the ink jet printer for textile printing comprises a step of changing an adhering position of the cloth of an ink drop discharged from a head when the moire is generated on the cloth textile printed by the ink jet printer for textile printing, a step of changing a look-up table LUT in response to the changed adhering position, and a step of changing input data used in a pseudo-gradation process. Thus, the textile printed color can be maintained.
