PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a mold for molding a plastic molded product such as a plastic lens or the like with high accuracy. SOLUTION: In molding the plastic molded product by filling the cavity 13 of the mold 10 with a resin and subsequently cooling and solidifying the resin, a transfer surface required in highly accurate transfer properties is formed of movable mirror surface pieces 11 and 12 to closely bring the filled resin into contact with the transfer surface and a non-transfer part not required in highly accurate transfer properties is formed of the inner surface of the mold 10 to separate the non-transfer part from the resin on the way of the cooling of the resin. Therefore, the sink of the resin can be selectively guided to the non-transfer part and the adhesion of the resin to the transfer surface can be enhanced. Even a long and thin-walled plastic molded product with a low strain and high shape-accuracy can be molded.
