PHOTONIC CRYSTAL FIBER AND ITS PRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber with high nonlinearity and an easy method of production there of to be produced easily. SOLUTION: A photonic crystal fiber 1 having a core part 11 and a porous part 12 ranged most dense with many pores 13 is produced by drawing a preform 2 to a fiber state at which capillaries 22a for plural porous parts are placed in the hole of a support tube 24 and a rod 21a for a core part of which the diameter is smaller than that of the capillary fiber 22a for plural hole parts instead of the capillaries 22a for a plurality of porous parts in the nearly central part of the support tube 24.
