METHOD FOR INTRODUCING EXOGENOUS SUBSTANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for introducing an exogenous substance, capable of introducing the exogenous substance into a living cell, by utilizing high working characteristics which the laser beam has so as to break chemical bonds of a biopolymer which forms a plant cell wall. SOLUTION: This method for introducing the exogenous substance comprises positioning a small particle supporting the exogenous substance on a part of the cell surface of the living cell and subjecting the part of the cell surface to laser beam irradiation so that a perforation is given on the cell wall and/or cell membrane and the exogenous substance is introduced into the living cell at the same time.
