PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image having permanence by aqueous ink jet ink printing. SOLUTION: A permanent ink jet image is formed by using a fusible wettable toner and an ink jet ink. The image is formed by (a) ink jet printing an ink containing a coloring agent on a base and (b) exposing the base with the transparent toner containing a fusible hydrophilic polymer. Further, the image is formed on the base which contains an independent region group of an electrostatic toner containing the ink jet ink and the fusible hydrophilic polymer and an independent region group substantially containing no ink jet ink and no electrostatic toner, and the image is fixed on the base. |
