PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of detecting the presence or absence of both of a recording medium and a cassette with a simple structure provided with one detecting sensor. SOLUTION: The presence or absence of the cassette 50 or the recording medium is detected by a detecting unit 60 composed of a push lever 70 extended in the mounting direction of the cassette 50 (direction of arrow B), a sensor lever 80 which is optionally fixed or rotatable on the basis of a position of the bush lever 70, a flag 90 rotated by being driven by the sensor lever 80, and a detection sensor 100 of which an optical path is blocked by the flag 90.
