PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine packaging device in which a necessary plurality of tablet containers from among a large number of the tablet containers can be fitted, and therefore, which is compact and easy to handle. SOLUTION: This medicine packaging device is equipped with tablet housing shelves, a comparatively small number of tablet feeding means, a packaging means, a fitting place storing means, a housing place storing means, and a searching means. In this case, the tablet housing shelves house the tablet containers in a place which is away from the medicine-packaging device. In the tablet feeding means, the tablet containers are fitted, and the tablet feeding means feed tablets. The packaging means packages tablets which are fed from the tablet feeding means. The fitting place storing means stores the fitting place of the tablet container. The housing place storing means stores the housing place of the tablet container. The searching means searches the tablet feeding means and the tablet containers in the tablet housing shelves.
