PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an ink chamber temperature constant whether ink is discharged or not discharged, and form high-quality images fit for gradational printing and inexpensively. SOLUTION: At an ink discharge time within a printing timing period, a first driving voltage based on an ink discharge signal is impressed to an electrode set to a side wall of the discharge ink chamber for discharging ink, and then a third driving voltage is impressed to an electrode set to a side wall of an adjacent ink chamber adjacent to the discharge ink chamber. At an ink non discharge time in the printing timing period, a second driving voltage is impressed to the electrode set to the discharge ink chamber, and at the same time, the third driving voltage is impressed to the electrode set to the side wall of the adjacent ink chamber. At the ink non discharge time, a dielectric loss is generated to the side wall by an electric field VP generated by a phase difference between the driving voltage D2 and the driving voltage D3, and a temperature difference of the ink chamber temperature between the ink non discharge time and the ink discharge time is reduced by heating at this time.
