PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductive roller manufacturing method capable of inexpensively and efficiently manufacturing a semiconductive roller capable of preventing the generation of image irregularity and not generating the local deformation of an elastomer layer caused by the pressure contact with a photosensitive body when unused. SOLUTION: A foamable elastic material (foamable elastic layer) 2 and a conductive metal sleeve 4 are integrally formed on the outer periphery of a core metal (shaft body) 1 without using a mold. That is, the member wherein the foamable elastic material is integrated with the core metal 1 is covered with the conductive metal sleeve 4 and both ends of the conductive metal sleeve 4 are fixed by insulating resin caps 3a and 3b so that the core metal 1 is positioned at the concentric center of the conductive metal sleeve 4. The whole is introduced into a thermostatic tank set to a desired temperature to foam the foamable elastic material 2 for a desired time to integrate the foamable elastic material 2 and the conductive metal sleeve 4. |
