PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a microlens array mold having durability, capable of efficiently molding a molding such as a particularly accurate microlenes array or the like by the mold in the method, and the apparatus for manufacturing the mold for forming an optical material used for an optical equipment or the like, and to provide the mold and the molding. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the mold comprises the step of pressing an indenter 4 to the part of the amorphous alloy layer of the surface of a mold matrix 2 in a state in which the matrix 2 is uniformly heated to a temperature T1 higher than the ambient temperature and heat insulated to form an indentation part 9 to meet the shape of an optical element. The method further comprises the step of annealing the part 9 at a higher temperature T2 than the temperature T1 after the part 9 is formed. Thus, the mold which has a high hardness and durability, is formed. At the time of manufacturing the mold, the matrix 2 is placed in vacuum or an inert gas atmosphere, and hence the mold which has the durability, high accuracy and high hardness, is formed. |
