PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely separate and feed sheets on a bottom plate one by one to the last sheet. SOLUTION: The frictional resistance to be applied to the sheets S on the bottom plate 1 is determined on the sum of the frictional resistance Fc by a first frictional resistance applying means 9, and the frictional resistance Fd by second frictional resistance applying means 10, 11. The influence of the reaction force from the feed roller 8 which is changed corresponding to the number of sheets S on the bottom plate 1 is reduced by moderately determining the frictional resistance Fc of the first frictional resistance applying means 9 receiving the reaction force from a feed roller 8, which is changed corresponding the change of the number of sheets S on the bottom plate 1, and the frictional resistance Fc+Fd to be applied to the sheets S can be determined to a desired value by the second frictional resistance applying means 10, 11 which receive small pressure force of a bottom plate energizing member 7 as they are mounted near a center of the rotation of the bottom plate 1, and in accompany therewith, which are hardly affected by the reaction force from the feed roller 8. Whereby the sheets S on the bottom plate 1 can be surely separated and fed to the last sheet.
