PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid cosmetic container which allows a cap closing movement to push back the contents attached around an opening of an container body into the container body and suppresses the increase of inner pressure upon closing the cap so as to prevent the outer surface from becoming dirty with the attached contents and obtain excellent ease of use. SOLUTION: This liquid cosmetic container with an applicator function for holding a mascara or the like, is provided with, aside from a squeezing piece 8 near an opening 6 of the container body to squeeze off the contents (n) attached to a cap 9 side, a wiping piece 17 at the base end of the stem 11 of the cap 9 to scrape off the contents attached to the container body 1 side. Also, a vertical groove 13 is provided on the outer surface of the stem 11 as opposed to the squeezing piece 8 to form a leak path R therebetween, so that the excess contents can be removed before the wiping piece 17 makes contact with the container body 1.
