PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grind an internal thread efficiently by increasing the rigidity of a wheel spindle and using a large-diameter grinding wheel. SOLUTION: A wheel head 4 is supported on a wheel spindle stock 3 so as to swing in a vertical plane including an axis of the wheel spindle 5, and the angle of swing of the wheel head 4 is adjusted along arc guides 20 by an operating shaft 23 opposite to the grinding wheel. The wheel spindle stock 3 is supported on a bed 2 so as to swing in a horizontal plane, and the angle of swing of the wheel spindle stock 3 is adjusted by an operating shaft 40 at an end opposite to the grinding wheel.
