PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super-finishing method for a tapered roller bearing in which a long grinding stone can be used, lower a grinding stone replacing frequency to improve workability, improve economical performance of consumption of the grinding stone, and realize automation of feeding the grinding stone. SOLUTION: As an outer ring 45 of the tapered roller bearing is rotated around a center axis, a tip surface of the straight grinding stone 33 inserted from a larger diameter side opening part 39 is slid in contact with a tapered raceway track surface 35 formed on an inner circumferential surface of the outer ring 45 in this super-finishing method for the tapered roller bearing for super-finishing the raceway track surface 35. The grinding stone 33 is inclined outward of the large diameter side opening part 39 to a perpendicular line 37 to the raceway track surface 35, so that interference of a rear end part of the grinding stone 33 with a non-worked track surface is avoided, thereby length regulation to the grinding stone 33 is released. |
