PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller mold for manufacturing a foam roller having surface roughness suitable for an image forming apparatus, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In manufacturing the roller mold having a fluoroplastic coating layer with a surface roughness Rz of >20-2,000μm provided to the inner surface thereof, granular fluoroplastic is applied to the inner surface of the roller mold by dry spraying to form the coating layer or a coating material prepared by dispersing granular fluoroplastic in a solvent solution for fluoroplastic is applied to the inner surface of the roller mold and the coated roller mold is dried to form the coating layer. Alternatively, a coating material, which is prepared by dispersing a granular substance capable of disappearing by dissolution or melting in the solvent solution for fluoroplastic, is applied to the inner surface of the roller mold to be dried and the granular substance is allowed to disappear by dissolution or melting to form the coating layer. |
