PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car position information method of an elevator capable of making a user's own destination floor unknown without requiring a special card for crime prevention. SOLUTION: A device to display a car position on one of display parts of hall cage position display devices 21-2n, an information part of a car inside information device, a voice generating part of a platform voice generating device, a display part of a portable telephone of the user of the elevator and a display part of a specified fixed terminal is devised to stop output to the display part, the information part or the voice generating part of the original car position by using an authorization means of the user of the elevator using a human body, an authorization means of the user using the portable telephone, an authorization means of the user using elevator related equipment set in a hall or in the car and an authorization means of the user using the terminal through a network. Consequently, it is possible to secure convenience for the user and to provide an excellent crime prevention effect.
