PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant raising method and a plant raising system for effectively raising a plant. SOLUTION: This plant raising method comprises the following practice: the activity of plant growth is monitored by a SSC(single strain counting)-PCR technique with limited amplification probability, and the microflora in soil or the like is also monitored by the SSC-PCR technique with limited amplification probability; by controlling both the temperature and air permeation level of the soil or the like, both the kind number and quantity of nitrifying bacterium colonies are controlled and the respective quantities of a nitrate and a nitrite are also controlled.
