PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set a writing utensil using a volatile ink in a writable state or an unusable state through a one hand manipulation and prevent an ink from evaporating to a maximum possible extent. SOLUTION: A sliding cap 4 with a lid plate 5 is fitted to the forward small diameter part 6 of a barrel 1 and the lid plate 5 is fixedly hinged 7, in a freely opening/closing manner, on the upper end of the sliding cap 4. The barrel 1 is gripped and the sliding cap 4 is slid back and forth by the tip of a forefinger. The pen point 3 forcibly opens the lid plate 5 by pulling the sliding cap 4 backward. The pen point 3 is completely way out and set in a usable state by further pulling the cap 4 backward. |
