PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress the lowering of the pressure in cells of a foamed elastomer, which has closed cells of which the internal pressure is higher than atmospheric pressure, over a long period of time. SOLUTION: In keeping the foamed elastomer 1 having closed cells of which the internal pressure is higher than atmospheric pressure, the foamed elastomer 1 is airtightly surrounded by a hermetically sealed cover 3 and the cover 3 is filled with gas having pressure almost equal to the internal pressure of the closed cells.
