PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a polishing method that polish a blade surface of a product with a blade surface and, especially, of a steam turbine stationary blade manufactured by a lost wax precision casting method, with precision and less labor. SOLUTION: The blade surface polishing device has three-dimensionally positioned tables 2, a general-purpose articulated robot 4 having a holding jig for fixedly holding a workpiece 1, and belt grinders 5. The polishing method relates a reference point on a drawing of a blade surface of the workpiece 1 and the holding jig together on the three-dimensionally positioned table 2, and moves the general-purpose articulated robot 4 holding the workpiece 1 in the holding jig along the blade surface converted with respect to the reference point to thereby cause the belt grinder 5 to polish the blade surface of the workpiece 1. |
